    TEST TAKING TIPS:

    Before taking your test and as you work:

    • Make sure that the test page is completely loaded at the beginning and after each question is answered. Clicking too fast before page loading or double clicking causes interruption in information transfer and students to be released from the exams.
    • Do not use the "Save Answer" button every time you complete a question; use the next arrow (>) or the “Save All” button at the end of the test. Computers may lock up if "Save Answer" is clicked instead of clicking the arrow for the next question.  There is no danger in clicking the arrow--it will both save your answer and move you along to the next question.
    • Frozen Computer Issue - locking up, getting an error message, getting "kicked out," any of which will not allow you to go back in and complete your quiz.
    •  Before you begin again,
      • It will help if you turn off your popup blocker and close any other open windows, programs or applications. 
      • If you are using IE8, you may try clicking the "compatability view" button located beside the address bar of Internet Explorer. 
      • Additionally, it may help to disable anti-virus while you take the test.

    1. Contact the instructor. Blackboard will not reset a test on a student’s request.

    2. Back out of the test to see it you can return to the system.
